Fortnite Rules: What is rule 32, 33, 34, 64, and more?
The Fortnite rules are an unofficial set of regulations that the game’s community tries to stick to. Some of the most notable entries in the ruleset are rule 12, 13, 23, 24, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 63, 64, and 69. That’s a lot to keep track of, so be sure to bookmark this cheat sheet and reference it whenever an unfamiliar Fortnite rule comes up.
All Fortnite rules list
Here’s the definition of each major Fortnite rule in 2021:
Fortnite rule 12 explained
Fortnite’s 12th rule is that anything a player says can (and will) be used against them. Take the time to consider a comment before saying it over the mic or typing it into the in-game chat.
Fortnite rule 13 explained
Rule 13 states that anything a Fortnite player says can (and will) be turned into something else. Basically, making just one unconsidered comment could result in becoming a YouTube meme — and not in a good way!
Fortnite rule 23 explained
Fortnite rule 23 is that a majority of party members must agree on any action taken. Such decisions may include kicking a squad member, deciding which mode to play, or dictating what location to drop at.
Fortnite rule 24 explained
According to Fortnite rule 24, all players have the right to intervene. Although it can be annoying for another player to join a shootout late and with full health, it’s part of the game and shouldn’t face criticism.
Fortnite rule 30 explained
Rule 30 in Fortnite is easy to prove wrong, as it dictates that girls don’t play online. In fact, Fortnite is popular amongst females as well as males.
Fortnite rule 31 explained
Number 31 in the Fortnite rule book is that players must be 13 years of age or older to participate in some competitive tournaments. Players can learn more specific details in this dedicated article.
Fortnite rule 32 explained
The Fortnite rule 32 explainer is that users must have supporting gameplay footage or screenshots to back up any brags. Claim to have landed an impressive headshot or gotten a ton of kills in a single match? Pictures or it didn’t happen!
Fortnite rule 33 explained
Rule 33’s definition is that Fortnite fans should, more often than not, keep comments to themselves in-game. Think before using the voice or text chat features, as it could hurt other peoples’ feelings and/or backfire.
Fortnite rule 34 explained
Fortnite rule 34 states that there is adult content relating to the game circulating online; this rule supposedly applies to every video game and fandom in general.
Fortnite rule 35 explained
Rule number 35 in Fortnite is that if rule 34 doesn’t yet apply, it will in the future.
Fortnite rule 37 explained
The definition of Fortnite rule 37 is that no matter how messed up a situation seems, another player has it worse. Lost a fight due to lagging all over the place? Someone else just lost connection to the server, thus not getting credit for their Victory Royale.
Fortnite rule 63 explained
Fortnite’s 63rd rule dictates that there are gender-swap versions of every male and female character. This suggests that a fan-made version of Jonesy as a woman exists somewhere on the internet.
Fortnite rule 64 explained
Rule 64 states that there are alternate universe (AU) versions of Fortnite out there. This one is definitely true, as the Fortnite multiverse is a large part of its ongoing story.
Fortnite rule 69 explained
Fortnite rule 69 encourages players to respond “nice” whenever the number appears in-game, or in relation to the game on social media.
That covers all of the major Fortnite rules, as dictated by the internet. Hopefully, there now won’t be any confusion when this unofficial ruleset is mentioned in-game.
In other gaming news, Clementine from Telltale’s The Walking Dead is back. Nintendo Switch owners can also elevate their gameplay to the next level, all thanks to a brand-new controller.
