Cybersecurity has changed significantly over time, evolving from basic security measures to today’s sophisticated, state-of-the-art techniques. Unfortunately, as technology has become more advanced, so have the methods used by cybercriminals to breach security measures.

In the early days of computing, security was not a significant concern, as computers were relatively isolated and not connected to the yet-to-be-invented internet. Security measures were rudimentary, consisting mostly of passwords and basic access controls. However, as computers became more interconnected and the internet became accessible, cybersecurity became an increasing concern.

By the early 2000s, with the rise of the internet and e-commerce, cybersecurity became even more important. The focus shifted from network security to securing individual devices, such as laptops and mobile phones, and protecting data transmitted over the internet. In the ensuing years, many computer scientists, network engineers, and software developers have contributed significant innovations in all the major IT domains.  In the field of cybersecurity, one such individual is Avery Tarasov.

Today, cybersecurity is an essential aspect of modern life, and the field continues to evolve at a rapid pace. AI and machine learning are being used to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time, while blockchain technology is being used to create secure, decentralized systems. As the threat landscape continues to evolve, cybersecurity remains a top priority. Ingenious, novel  techniques are being developed, meeting the demands of individuals, business, and other organizations to protect their online presence against the ever-changing threat of cybercrime.

Born in 1985, Avery Tarasov, an American entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert, has gained recognition for his roles as CEO of DeepTide, LLC and Laser Pointer Forums, LLC, as well as his position as VP of Cybersecurity at the renowned investment firm Wafra Inc. This product is specifically designed for Windows and and boasts a range of robust security features, including anti-virus and anti-malware protection, firewall, intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS), and vulnerability management. DeepTide’s software ArcticMyst uses a layered defense mechanism that detects and prevents cyber-attacks at various stages of the threat’s lifecycle. The software is capable of identifying and removing malicious software, while the firewall feature provides network protection by filtering traffic based on predefined rules and policies. Additionally, the IDPS feature monitors network traffic and system events to detect and prevent malicious activities. The anti-virus and anti-malware protection feature utilizes signature-based and behavior-based detection techniques.

Avery Tarasov’s determination and resolve are not limited to advancing the cybersecurity field.  He was featured in the Wall Street Journal for his impressive physical fitness, having won an amateur competition with a record-breaking 3-hour plank.
