Methodological Tools For the Analysis Of Fiction

Fiction is a prose form of art that embodies the experiences of Tool life and projects them onto paper with the usage of aesthetics.

In this article, I would like to expound the methodological tools for the analysis of fiction. The methodological tools for fiction can be grouped into the following and they are: Fictoricks (Fiction and Rhetoric), esoteric carnival, symbolic symbiosis, and Museaphoria (from Muse and Euphoria)

Now what is Fictoricks Tools ?

Fictoricks looks into the existential experiences of the novel. The existential experiences of the novel can be made sublime by asking questions about the work as to who, when, what where and why? Experiences of the novel’s author can be biographical, cultural, linguistic, sociological, psychological, experiential, and political. Fictoricks translates all these experiences into plausible exegesis. A fictroial analysis of fiction takes into account all these modalities.
Now what is esoteric carnival? Esoteric carnival is project of analysing the aesthetic experiences of the novel. There are three projects for the esoteric carnival and they are ecstasy, catharsis and sublation (a German term for creating and upholding). Now where does catharsis come from? It comes from the soul of the writer and it is passion exemplified. What about ecstasy? Ecstasy is the mytho-poetic experiences of sensuality. By sublation we mean getting into the intricate pattern of the writing. Sublation analyses the vocabulary of the work.

Now what is symbolic symbiosis Tools ?

Symbolic symbiosis of the work looks into the figurative language of the work. Figures of speech form the aesthetic work of the art. Symbolic symbiosis is the muse of form. What are the levels that juxtapose the figures of speech into a carnival of working? Figures of speech can be sensual, cultural, political, psychological and existential. Analysis of the novel can be made under the various heads.

Now what is Museaphoria Tools ?

Museaphoria involves two strands of philosophical thought. One is the binary divide in deconstruction as propounded by the post-modern philosopher Jacques Derrida. This aspect looks at the work of fiction through the lens of deconstruction. In deconstruction texts privilege and marginalize meaning and this is called the Binary Divide. Museaphoria looks at texts and how they marginalize and privilege meaning.

Textual terms can ousted from the text and made into the accountability of binary schism (a device which aims at fusing textual meaning). The second aspect of Museaphoria is the dialectical relationship with the signifier and the signified. What are the signifier and the signified? Let’s look an example.

If I say Rose is passion, rose the tangible element of the sentence is the signifier and passion is an idea which becomes the signified. In Museaphoria we can look at texts and how they construct meanings through the meaning of the signifier and the signified.

Lastly to sum up I would like to say that fiction can analysed under the following heads and they are: Fictoricks, Esoteric Carnival, Symbolic symbiosis and Museaphoria. The meaning of a text can dialogically manipulated to suitable occasions for a harvest of textuality
